The Armenian Energy Agency Foundation implemented the Bright Border charitable social program, the purpose of which is to make capital investments in families living in the border villages of Armenia and Artsakh, in the form of LED lamps, which ensure long-term energy saving. More than 5,000 families living in 27 border villages have already been provided with more than 25,000 high quality laboratory-tested LED lamps with a 3-year warranty. According to estimates, energy savings in 27 communities are over 3.750 million kWh ($311,000) per year. The project became possible thanks to donations from many organizations and individuals. The DAR Foundation also contributed to this cause.
